176 Yale University Obituary Record Quartermasters Corps, April 17, 1918; transferred May 30, 1918, to Stevedore and Labor Branch to organize, equip, and instruct labor battalions; detaded October 8 as Army member, Longshoremen's War Committee, New York City; discharged December 14, 1918; member Committee of Twenty-One, Inc , for development of athletic facilities at Yale, member Umon Club, Naval and Military Order of the Spanish- Amencan War, Yale Engmeermg Association, Amencan societies of Civd Engmeers, Mechanical Engmeers, and Mining Engmeers, Amencan Institute of Gas Engmeers; attended St. Bartholomew's Church (Episcopal), New York City. Marned December 2, 1903, m New York City, Heloise, daughter of Wdham Bedlow and Katherine Morns (Parker) Beekman. Chddren: Heloise Beekman (B A. Barnard 1929; M D. Cornell 1934) and John Beekman (Lehigh ymversity 1929-31; Rutgers Umversity 1931-33) Mrs Hough died Aprd 18,1936. Death due to pneumoma Buried m Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne Survived by son and daughter. Harry David Kohn, Ph.B. 1885. Born April 1, 1865, in Chicago, III. Died September 26, 1938, tn New York City. Father, David Abraham Kohn, member Kohn Brothers, clothiers m Chicago, son of Abraham and Dorothea Kohn of Wurttemberg, Germany, and Chicago Mother, Theresa (Levi) Kohn. Chicago High School Select course; histonan for select course; member Alpha Chi Associated with Kohn Brothers, Chicago, as employee and later as member of firm 1885-97; head of firm of Kohn & Company, wholesale clothiers, New York City, 1897-1910, partner, secretary, and treasurer Washington Clothing Company, New York City, 1897-1913 and president of merged firms of Alfred Benjamin Company-Washington Company 1913-19; vice-president Industnal Acceptance Corporation, New York City, 1919-25; customer's man with Newburger, Henderson & Loeb 1928 until retirement 1930; served as president National Association of Clothiers. Marned October 4, 1892, in Chicago, Nellie, daughter of David and Came (Rosenfeld) Stettauer. Daughter, Eleanor Frances (B.A. Smith College 1923) Death due to artenosclerosis and bronchial pneumoma. Buned in Woodlawn Cemetery, New York City. Survived by wife and daughter
