Married Aprd 21, 1919, in Syracuse, N Y, Helen Van Gaasbeek, daughter of John Francis and Antomette (Van Gaasbeek) Nash Death due to a fractured skull sustained m a fall Buried m Albany (NY) Rural Cemetery Survived by wife and two half brothers, Gardner Meeker, '92 S , and Harry B Cox, '02 Another half brother, David M Meeker, '91 S , died November 30, 1937. Francis Lightbody Field, Ph.B. 1916. Bom September 15, 1893, in Brooklyn, NY. Died December 23, 1938, in New York City. Father, John Henry Field, head of hat manufacturmg firm of John H. Field, Brooklyn, son of John Henry and Eliza (Jago) Field of Brooklyn. Mother, Alicia Cousins (Hicinbothem) Field, daughter of James and Margaret (Cousms) Hicinbothem of Brooklyn. Brooklyn Boys' High School and New York Preparatory School. Select course, Freshman football, track, and cross country squads, member Pipe and Bowl, Phi Kappa Epsdon, and Book and Bond. Attended New York Law School 1916-17 and Brooklyn Law School 1919-20, admitted to New York bar 1920, partner m law firms of Thomas [Hector W, '88] & Houghton (later Thomas, Houghton & Shepard), New York City, 1920-25, Ferris, Shepard, Joyce & McCoy 1925-30, and Buckley & Buckley 1930-35, had been associated with Roy P Monahan smce 1936, enlisted September 21, 1917, as pnvate, Battery A, 306th Field Artillery, 77th Division, promoted to corporal October, 1917, and sergeant February, 1918, served overseas April 24, 1918-Apnl 29, 1919, taking part m the Oisne-Aisne and the Meuse- Argonne offensives, discharged May 10, 1919, member American Legion (judge advocate, Insurance Post 1937-38), and Spencer Memorial Presbyterian Church, Brooklyn. Married June 29, 1924, m Brooklyn, Emma, daughter of John and Margaret (Khnck) Morch Death due to a hemorrhage Buried m Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn Survived by wife, mother, a sister, Miss Margaret Ehzabeth Field, and two brothers, John Howard Field and Rev. Herbert Hicinbothem Field (M A Columbia 1921, D D. Hastings College 1928) of Brooklyn
