School of Law 293 B A College of the Holy Cross 1909, attended Yale School of Law 1909-12 (LLB 1912, member banquet committee), admitted to Connecticut bar 1912, engaged m independent practice of law m Hartford 1912-36, chief clerk m office of Secretary of State 1935-38, had resided m Manchester smce 1935; for many years had taught m Sunday School of Connecticut State Pnson and was president of the prison's teachers' association 1931-35, an organizer 1931 and first president Italian Central Councd of Greater Hartford 1931-37, member St Bndget's Church (Roman Cathohc), Manchester Marned September 10, 1913, in Brooklyn, NY, Rose, daughter of Pasquale and Mary (Bonadies) Martmo Chddren Angelo Martmo, Pasquale Martmo, Joseph, and Francis. Death due to myocardial fadure Buned m Mount St Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, Conn Survived by wife, sons, a grandson, and two sisters, Mrs Darnel A. Guernero and Mrs. V. Antonio Ciarlegho, both of Hartford. Russell Jay McCaughey, LL.B. 1922. Bom September 27,1898, in Chicago, III Died April 30,1939, in Chicago, III As it has been impossible to secure the complete information for publication m this volume, a biographical statement will appear m a subsequent issue of the Obituary Record.
