Mother, Katherine (Dawson) McKean Attended Yale School of Law 1884-87 (LL.B 1886, LLM. 1887); admitted to the Massachusetts bar October 1, 1897; engaged m the practice of law m Springfield, Mass, 1887-1934 and m Thompsonville, Conn , smce 1934, member Masomc order Married January 6, 1886, m Madison, Conn, Ida E, daughter of Shelden Hull Death due to acute sudden ddatation of the heart. Buned m West Cemetery, Madison Survived by wife. Adna Guernsey Bowen, LL.B. 1888. Born June 15,1862, in Medina, N Y. Died November 29, 1934, in Medina, N Y. Father, Abiel Bowen (D D S Baltimore College of Dental Surgery i860) of Medina, son of Dr Abiel Bowen and Anna Sterling (Cone) Bowen Mother, Helen Cornelia (Guernsey) Bowen, daughter of Samuel Smedley and Elizabeth (Eckerson) Guernsey Studied with his uncle in Batavia, N Y , admitted to bar June, 1883; clerk and bank messenger New York State Senate 1886, 1887; attended Yale School of Law 1887-88 (LL B 1888), engaged m practice of law m New York City 1888-1908 and in Medina since 1908, had also engaged m manufacturing, president Clipper Manufacturmg Company and Bowen-Muey Company, had obtained patents on a number of inventions, member 7th Regiment, New York National Guard, Association of the Bar of the City of New York, New York State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and East Center Church (Protestant Episcopal), Medina Married in Detroit, Emma Klem (M D University of Michigan 1891), daughter of Frederick Klem Mr and Mrs Bowen were divorced m 1919. Death due to coronary occlusion Buned m Mount Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby, N Y. Survived by no immediate relatives.
