Father, Francis See Depew of Lmden, engaged m insurance busmess in New York City; son of Ephnam Holbrook and Helen Jane (See) Depew of Plainfield, NJ. Mother, Martha Adeha (Roll) Depew, daughter of Isaac Clausen and Harnet (Freeman) Roll of Lmden, N J. Lmden pubhc schools and Bernard Military Academy, New York City; attended Rutgers Umversity 1902-03, Umversity of Missoun School of Law 1903-05, and Yale School of Law 1905-06 (LL B 1906; member Kent Club), admitted to New Jersey bar 1908; practiced law in Ehzabeth 1908-39; speaahzed m corporation law and acted as attorney for many corporations operating m New Jersey, also largely occupied m real-estate activities, counsel and recorder Lmden Township 1910-22, an organizer Lmden National Bank (president 1920-22) and Fidelity Budding and Loan Association, Lmden (counsel 1910-33), on Umon County (NJ) Republican Committee 1909-15, member Umon County, New Jersey State, and Amencan Bar associations, and Grace Church (Episcopal), Lmden Marned May 20, 1914, m Newark, N J, Grace Harnson, daughter of Wdham Sutphen and Florence Henrietta (Harnson) DeMott No chddren. Death due to carcinoma Buned in Evergreen Cemetery, Ehzabeth. Survived by wife and a brother, Frank Roll Depew of Denton, Md In 1922 Mr. Depew estabhshed the Harold Depew Fund which will ultimately benefit the Yale School of Law. John Hopkins Noel, LL.B. 1910. Born February 26, 1888, in Nashville, Tenn. Died November 4,1939, tn Nashville, Tenn. Father, Edwm Thomas Noel, a real-estate dealer m Nashville; owner Liberty Mills Flour Company, son of Oscar Fitzallen and Sarah Catherine (Gardner) Noel of Nashvdle Mother, May (French) Noel, daughter of John Hopkms and Lucy Virginia (Smith) French of McMinnville, Tenn.
