Father, John Norton Weakley, a druggist and ranchman m Roby, Texas Mother, Lula Jane (Bnght) Weakley Roby High School and Simmons Academy, Abdene. B.A. magna cum laude Hardin-Simmons Umversity 1915. Entered Yale College beginning of Semor year; second colloquy appomtment Engaged as a broker in Abdene and as a rancher m Roby; enlisted March 29, 1918, and served for a time as Spanish interpreter, Psychological Division, Intelligence Department; attended fourth Field Artillery Central Officers* Training School, Camp Zachary Taylor; commissioned Second Lieutenant, Field Artillery, September 25, 1918; assigned to 2d Field Artillery, Fust Bngade, Camp Jackson; discharged at School of Fire, Fort Sill, December 12,1918 Death due to high blood pressure and enlarged heart.
