Father, James Beaty (Umv of Toronto 1868), a wholesale merchant m Toronto, Detroit, Mich., and California; son of James Beaty of Toronto Mother, Mary Annie (Toll) Beaty; daughter of Isaiah Toll of Bowmanvdle, Ontano Detroit High School. First colloquy appointment Jumor and Semor years. Engaged m mission work Detroit 1896-97, attended General Theological Seminary 1897-1900 (graduated 1900) and on staff St. James* Church 1898-1900, ordained deacon in Episcopal church 1900 and pnest 1903, assistant Grace Church, New York City, 1900-01 and St. George's Church, Flushing, N Y , 1901-03, m charge St John's Church, Flushing, 1901-03; rector St Peter's Church, Buffalo, N.Y, 1903-10 and St. Paul's Church, Albany, NY, 1910-11; semor assistant St. Peter's Church, Chicago, 1911-15; rector St George's Church, Lusk, Wyo., 1915-17, Chnst Church, Lead, S Dak, 1917-18, Grace Church, Cortland, NY, 1918-22, and St. John's Church,Jackson, Wyo., 1923-26; dean of Big Horn Basm and Yellowstone Park at Cody, Wyo , 1926-30; rector St. Paul's Church, Virginia, Minn, and St. John's Church, Eveleth, Minn , 1930-33 (member executive councd Diocese of Duluth); canon Cathedral of St John, Providence, 1933 until retirement 1940; member Masomc order. Marned March 31, 1917, m Casper, Wyo , Joyce, daughter of Henry DeLos and Mary M. Goodyear Corcoran Ballard. Son* Beecher Mc- Clellan (Trinity Coll. [Conn.] 1942) Death due to cerebral hemorrhage and artenosclerosis. Buned m churchyard of the Cathedral of St John, Providence. Survived by wife and son Fred Fox Bennett, B.A. 1896. Bom February 24, 1870, in Harford, Conn. Died July 27, 1940, in Edgartown, Mass. Father, Joseph Langford Bennett, a merchant and patent solicitor m Hartford, and Washington, D C , served throughout Civd War and mustered out as brevet captain; assistant adjutant general of Connecticut; son of Joseph Langford and Sarah Carpenter (Weaver) Bennett of New London and Hartford, Conn, and Providence, R I. Mother, Carne (Ross) Bennett, daughter of William and Emma Caroline Williams ;:
