Bom August 9, 1875, in Penn, Texas. Died April 10, 1941, in Montclatr, NJ. Father, Hugh Lafayette Hargrove, a farmer in Penn; son of James and Margaret Hargrove of Alabama. Mother, Ellen Josephine (Penn) Hargrove, daughter of Dr. James Penn and Mary Penn of Penn Yale relatives mclude a daughter-in-law, Dorothy P Hargrove (Yale School of the Fine Arts 1925-26) B.A. Baylor Umversity 1898. Entered Yale College beginning of Semor year; first dispute appointment, member Yale Umversity Dramatic Association.
