Bom March 1,1871, in Fulton, N.Y. Died March 9,1941, in New York City. Father, Rev James Gilmour (B A Umon Coll [N Y ] 1850; Princeton Theological Seminary 1851-54), minister and teacher, principal Ballston Spa (N.Y.) Academy and FaUey Seminary, Fulton, son of John and Mary (Gilmour) Gdmour of Paisley, Scodand Mother, Mary Jane (Veeder) Gilmour, daughter of Harmon and Eleanor (Truax) Veeder of Rotterdam, N.Y Yale relatives mclude a nephew, Judson S Landon, '10 Fulton Union School, Falley Seminary, Margate College, Kent, England, and Phdhps-Andover Select course; Yale Gymnastic Team two years; member Theta Delta Chi. Attended College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia Umversity, 1895-99 (MD. 1899), substitute interne New York and Methodist Episcopal hospitals 1899-1900; interne St John's Hospital, Brooklyn, 1900-01 and Sloane Hospital for Women 1901-02, studied at Umversity of Gotttngen 1902 and Das Allgemeine Krankenhaus, Vienna, 1902-03; physician m New York City 1903 until retirement 1940, specialized m dermatology, on staff Roosevelt and Manhattan State hospitals, Vander- bdt Clinic, St Mary's Hospital for Chddren, and Englewood (N J) Hospital, instructor m clinical medicme, department of dermatology, Cornell Umversity Medical College, 1920-41; an enthusiastic mountaineer, he climbed extensively m the Alps, was among the first to reach the summit of Mt. Edith Cavell and Mt Sir Alexander in Canadian Rockies, fellow Royal Geographical Society (London) and Amencan Medical Association, member New York National Guard 1901-11 (Captam and assistant surgeon 13th Regiment Coast Artillery), Manhattan Dermatological Society, medical societies of the State and County of New York, New York Academy of Medicme, Association of Mditary Surgeons of the Umted States, Sons of the Amencan Revolution, Explorers Club, Appalachian Mountain Club, and Amencan, Canadian, Swiss, and French Alpine clubs Unmarned. Death due to cerebral artenosclerosis Buned m Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, N Y. Survived by two sisters, Anna G deForest (B A. Smith Coll 1889), the wife of Henry Pelouze deForest (B S Cornell 1884, M S 1887; M.D Columbia 1890) of New York City, and Mary G Landon, the wife of Robert Judson Landon (B A Umon Coll [N Y ] 1880, LL.B. Albany Law School 1883) of Schenectady.
