Death due to hypertensive cardiac disease with myocardial fadure. Buned m Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus. Survived by wife, daughter, two grandchildren, a sister, Margaret G Outhwaite, the wife of Singleton Peabody Outhwaite (B A Princeton 1896) of Columbus, and a stepson, Bancroft McElroy of Columbus «, Robert Sumner Skemp, Ph.B. 1904. Father, Robert Skemp; m iron and steel busmess, Birmingham, England; later associated with Scottdale (Pa ) Iron & Steel Works and assistant vice-president Amencan Sheet & Tin Plate Company, Scottdale; son of Robert and Ehza Lovett (Morrison) Skemp of Wolverhampton, England Mother, Kate (Sumner) Skemp, daughter of John and Mary Ann (Hebb) Sumner of Nottingham, England Scottdale High School; attended Pennsylvania State College 1900-02 (member Beta Theta Pi). Entered Sheffield Scientific School beginning of Jumor year; civd engineering course; honors for excellence in all studies of Jumor year. With Amencan Sheet & Tm Plate Company 1905-06; assistant to engmeer in charge construction work Midland Coal & Coke Company, Phdippi, W.Va, 1906-07, associated with H. C Fnck Coke Company of Pennsylvania 1907-40 (assistant to construction engmeer 1907-08, coke inspector 1908-09, mine superintendent 1909-40); member Umontown (Pa ) Chamber of Commerce, Histoncal Society of Pennsylvania, Masonic order, and First Baptist Church, Scottdale.
