242 Yale University Obituary Record daughter of Wilham and Nancy (McCulloch) Richardson of Muskingum County, Ohio B A Carleton College 1883 and M A 1898; taught school in Farming- ton and Kasson, Minn., 1883-85, attended Yale Divinity School 1885-88 (B D 1888), ordained in Congregational church, Reedsburg, Wis., 1888; minister Viroqua, Wis., 1889-90, Lancaster, Wis., 1890-95, Rico, Colo., 1895-96, Kaukauna, Wis, 1896-98, and Corning, Iowa, 1899-1902; taught m a busmess college, Beloit, Wis., 1902-04; minister Rockton, 111., 1904-10, Hartland, Wis, 1910-18, Watoga, 111, 1921-22, and Lyndon, 111, 1922 until retirement from ministry 1928, with information bureau Edison Electnc Appliance Company, Chicago, 1918-21; m recent years resided m East Lansing, Mich , and Wauwatosa; member Community Church, East Lansing Married December 19, 1879, m Galesville, Wis, Florence Helena, daughter of Almon and Juhet (Lynch) Holmes. Daughter: Edna Juliet (Knox Coll ex-04), the wife of William Raymond Kennedy (M.D. State Umv. of Iowa 1895) Mrs. Mason died February 24,1936. Death due to myocarditis Buried m Forest Home Cemetery, Mdwaukee Survived by daughter and three granddaughters. Henry Horace Williams, B.D. 1888. Born August 16,1858, in Sunbury, N.C Died December 26,1940, at Chapel Hill, N.C. Parents, Dr Ehsha Williams and Mary (Taylor) Williams. Prepared at school for boys m Murfreesboro, N C; B.A. and M.A. Umversity of North Carolina 1883, teacher 1883-84; attended Yale Divinity School 1884-85, 1886-88 (B.D 1888) and Harvard Divinity School 1888-90, professor of Greek and German Trinity College [N.C] 1885-86, professor of phdosophy University of North Carolina 1890- 1920, Kenan Professor of Philosophy 1920-35, and Kenan Professor ementus 1935-40; author The Evolution of Logic (1925) and The Education of Horace Williams (1936), president Peoples Bank, Chapel Hill, 1909-11, member Phi Kappa Sigma and Methodist church. Married June 10, 1891, m Yonkers, N.Y, Bertha, daughter of Rev. Henry Martyn Colton (B.A. 1848) and Lucy (Tutde) Colton, granddaughter of Rev George Colton (B A 1804), and great-great-granddaughter of Rev Benjamin Colton (B A 1710). No chddren. Mrs. Williams died m 1922 Death due to heart disease Buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Survived by no immediate relatives
