Mother, Hannah De Wolfe (Lantz) Barss; daughter of David and Ehzabeth (Langdl) Lantz of New Germany Pictou Academy, Pictou County, Nova Scotia; B S Acadia Umversity 1907. Entered Yale College Semor year; phdosophical oration appomtment, member Phi Beta Kappa. Attended Yale Graduate School 1909-12 (Ph D 1912, member Sigma Xi; assistant m physics 1909-12) Instructor in physics Massachusetts Institute of Technology 1912-21, faculty rank 1921-24, and assistant professor 1924-31, director of education and superintendent of budding Masomc Temple, Boston, contributed articles on architectural acousncsyto scientific journals; member Amencan Physical Society, Masomc order, md Baptist church, Arlington, Mass. Marned July [5, 1911, in Aylesford, Nova Scotia, Emma Belle, daughter of Caldwell JanWand Clara Belle (Power) West. Son. Murray Caldwell Death due to cerebral hemorrhage Buned m Belmont Cemetery. Survived by wife, son, a sister, Mrs George Freeman of Middleton, Nova Scotia, and a brother, Horace S Barss of New Boston, N H Maurice Raymond Plumb, B.A. 1909. Bom February 2, 1886, in Bridgeport, Conn Died October 16,1942, w Boston, Mass Father, Seymour Edwards Plumb, clerk Farmers Supply & Roofing Company, Bndgeport, son of Ohver E and Sarah Ann (Beardsley) Plumb. Mother, Ida Seward (Beach) Plumb; daughter of George Wolcott and Ehza Jane (Brinsmade) Beach of Trumbull, Conn.
