Mrs. Greenebaum died December n, 1939. Death due to uremia. Buried in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago. Survived by children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. William Sanders Tevis, Ph.B. 1886. Born August 21, 1864, in San Francisco, Calif. Died August 3, 1943, in San Francisco, Calif. Father, Lloyd Tevis, a pioneer in development of California; member original firm Hearst, Haggin & Tevis of San Francisco; president Southern Pacific Railroad Company and Wells-Fargo Express Company; son of Samuel and Sarah (Greathouse) Tevis of Shelbyville, Ky. Mother, Susan G. (Saunders) Tevis, daughter of Col Lewis Saunders, Jr , of Sacramento. Yale relatives include a cousin, Ludwig O. Kellogg, ex-86 Spec. S. Urban School, San Francisco Civil engineering course; honors for excellence in all studies of the Freshman year and honors in chemistry and in mathematics; member Sheff Gun Club, University Chess Club, Alpha Chi, and The Cloister and Book and Snake. Engaged in cattle raising and irrigation development in California; president Kern County Land Company, Bakersfield, and First National Bank. Married June 27, 1889, in San Francisco, Mabel, daughter of Romualdo and Mary (Mclntire) Pacheco. Children* Lloyd, William Sanders, Jr., Gordon Blanding, '17 S , and Lansing K.
