Death due to coronary occlusion Buried in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, Conn Survived by wife, sons, and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Mane Bonee of Hartford. Birdsey Erskine Case, LL.B. 1906. Born September 2, 1878, in North Canton, Conn. Died September 23, 1943, in Hartford, Conn. Father, Emerson Jay Case, a farmer in North Canton and Avon, Conn.; son of Jay and Frances Case of Avon. Mother, Frances C. (Case) Case; daughter of Ambrose and Jane (Rice) Case of North Canton. Colhnsville High School, Canton; attended Yale School of Law 1903-06 (LL.B magna cum laude 1906; second-year honors; vice-president Law School Y M C.A. Junior year and president Senior year; assistant critic Kent Club Junior year and president Senior year; on board Yale Law Journal, member Class Day committee); admitted to the bar 1906; lawyer in Hartford 1906-43; instructor Hartford College of Law 1922-31 and professor 1931-43 (member committee on entrance requirements 1924- 27), incorporator Hartford College of Insurance 1939 and on faculty 1939-43; member Hartford Bar Association and First Methodist Episcopal Church, Hartford Married July 17, 1906, in Colhnsville, Louise Marion, daughter of Calvin Nash and Cora (Thompson) Sage. Children* Emerson Woodruff, ex- '33 E. (B A Bates Coll 1936), and Cednc Wilcox. Death due to coronary occlusion. Buried in North Canton Cemetery, Canton Survived by wife and sons.
