American Coll. and Divinity School, Tarsus, Turkey), a Congregational minister in Adana, Turkey. Mother, Margend (Michaehan) Minassian. Missionary High School, Bardizas, Turkey. Natural history course; honors in Junior year; two-year honors for excellence in all studies Senior year. Studied elocution, psychology, and philosophy at Harvard Graduate School 1900-01, 1905-07; graduate student in chemistry Yale University 1907-08; assistant editor Gotchnae, Armenian newspaper printed in Boston 1901-02; edited Louyce, monthly scientific magazine, 1902-09, general superintendent of schools Miatzyal (United) Society in Armenian provinces of Turkey 1909-15, in charge scientific department Avedaper, weekly newspaper in Istanbul; devoted time to editorial work and founder and editor of several Armenian weeklies, engaged in research in poultry experimental station University of California; president Growers Chemical & Supply Company, Fresno, Calif., 1919-20, member First Congregational Church, Berkeley, Calif. Married June 28, 1910, in Erzroom, Turkey, Satenig, daughter of Hoohanness and Serpuie (Aslanian) Garabedian Children Edward William (B A. Univ. California 1937, M D. St. Louis Univ. School of Medicine 1943), Yervant Jack (B.S. Umv. California 1939), Henry Levon, and Aileen, the wife of Lloyd John Bradley.
