366 Yale University Obituary Record Thompson of Honesdale, Pa. Mother, Alme (MacMillan) Thompson; daughter of Henry G. and Anne C. MacMillan of Salt Lake City. Yale relatives include. Augustus P. Thompson, '96 S, and Gordon McMillan, ex-'05 S (uncles). Fessenden School, West Newton, Mass., and Philhps-Andover Entered Yale September, 1936, biological science course; Freshman Crew Squad; Vanderbdt football and hockey teams and crew Sophomore year; on business board Yale Dramatic Association Sophomore year; member St. Anthony and Delta Psi, Berkeley College (hockey team Junior year; football team Senior year), and School Church, Andover. Withdrew from college January 24, 1940; enlisted in Army Air Forces as flying cadet August, 1940; received primary training at Tuscaloosa, Ala , and advanced training at Southeast Air Corps Training Center, Maxwell Field, until April 9, 1941 Death due to an airplane accident. Received wings posthumously. Buried in Phillips Academy Cemetery, Andover Survived by parents and two brothers, Lieut David M. Thompson, '38 S., U.S N.R., and Lieut. Donald G. Thompson, A U.S (Class of 1945 S ) Foster Miller Fargo, Class of 1941 S. Born June 7, 1919, in Plainfield, N J. Died April 14, 1943, near Moycoc\, N C. Father, F. Fargo, '81, and Georgene Louise (Watkmson) Fargo (Yale School of the Fine Arts ^r-'8o) Mother, Lillian (Foster) Fargo, daughter of Adelbert M. Foster of Evanston, 111 Yale relatives include: George A Watkmson, <?*-'89 (great-uncle), Alvin W. Fargo, '06 S. (uncle); and Alvin W. Fargo, Jr, '37 S. (cousin). Wardlaw School for Boys, Plainfield, N.J, and The Hotchkiss School, Lakeville, Conn. Entered Yale September, 1937; Freshman Crew; University Crew Sophomore year, member St. Anthony and Delta Psi and Saybrook College. Withdrew from college June 19, 1939; associated with Colgate-Palm- ohve-Peet Company, Jersey City, N.J., June, 1939—January, 1941; member Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church, Plainfield. Marned October 6, 1941, in New York City, Ruth Wheelock, daughter of Robert Rentoul and Christine (Patten) Reed. Son: Foster Miller, Jr. Aviation cadet, United States Navy, January-October, 1941; received wings and commissioned Ensign October 3, 1941; trained naval recruits and instructor in instrument flying U S.
