Death due to sepsis Buried in mausoleum of Greenwood Memorial Park, San Diego Survived by wife, daughter, one grandson, a sister, Mrs. Louis Schupp of Detroit, and a half sister, Mrs James O'Brien of Marshall William Thomas Maxey, LL.M. 1896. Born February n, 1863, in Mount Vernon, III. Died August 6, 1942, in Los Angeles, Calif. Parents, John and Elizabeth (Bullock) Maxey. Attended Yale School of Law 1895-96 (LL M, 1896); admitted to the bar, had been engaged as a broker in Los Angeles. Married Children. Yale and Fay. Death due to senile dementia. Buried in Fairlawn Cemetery, Santa Ana, Calif Survived by children Abel Miller Hammett, LL.M. 1902. Born April 15, 1878, in Huntsville, Mo. Died November 1, 1942, in Tulsa, O^la. Father, Charles Henry Hammett, a banker in Huntsville and an oil producer in Indian Territory and Oklahoma. Mother, Frances (Jackson) Hammett. Private school, Kansas City, Mo , and Mexico (Mo ) Military Academy; attended William Jewell College 1895-96, University of Virginia Law School 1899-1900, Kansas City School of Law (LLB 1901), and Yale School of Law 1901-02 (LL.M. 1902); admitted to the bar 1905; lawyer in Tulsa 1906 until about 1908, oil producer and capitalist in Tulsa until his death, attended Trinity Church (Episcopal), Tulsa. Married February 1, 1905, in Kansas City, Adelaide Virginia, daughter of John Veitch and Hamette (Roscoe) Ellard Daughter: Hamette Frances (died in infancy) Death due to coronary occlusion Buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulsa. Survived by wife and a sister, Mrs Van Hammett Costello of St. Louis.
