Associated with Winchester Repeating Arms Company, New Haven, 1901-03 and 1904-06, in fire-insurance business 1903-04; graduate student in mechanical engineering, Yale University, 1906-08 (M E. 1908; member Sigma Xi), instructor in descriptive geometry and drawing Yale University 1906-08 and drawing 1908-11, assistant professor of drawing and descriptive geometry 1911-14; superintendent Sentinel Manufacturing Company, automatic gas appliances, New Haven, 1914-16; assistant chief engineer Hale & Kilburn Manufacturing Company, furniture, Philadelphia, 1916-18, treasurer and director F E. Buried in Alderbrook Cemetery, Guilford Survived by wife, daughters, two grandchildren, one of whom is John N Curtiss, '44 S, a sister, Jessie Dickinson North Read, the wife of Harry H Read, '01 S, and a brother, Major Donald Goodrich North, U S A , of North Haven, Conn Another brother, John R.
