E Spencer Company, paints and wallpapers, New Haven; son of George Martm and Elizabeth (Fletcher) Eckle of New Haven. Mother, Wilhelmma (Hugendubel) Eckle; daughter of Carl Hugendubel of Stuttgart, Germany. New Haven High School. Electrical engineering course, first-division stand Freshman year. Associated with Southern New England Telephone Company 1906-07 and 1909-18 (draftsman in engineering department 1906-07 and 1909- 11; district engineer of western district, Waterbury, Conn, 1911-15; in Hartford office 1915-18); engineer Providence (R.I.) Telephone Company 1907-08, engineer Factory Insurance Association, fire underwriters, Hartford, Conn, 1918-45; member Yale Engineering Association, Masonic order, and Christ Church (Episcopal), Stratford Married (1) January 6, 1907, in New York City, Grace Evelyn, daughter of Theodore Albert and Agnes Caldwell (Robertson) Spreyer. Children Grace Elizabeth, the wife of Lieut. William H. Curtis, U.S.N.R. (B S. Tufts Coll. 1930; M S. Umv. Connecticut 1944); Lieut. Carl Robertson Eckle, U S.N., and Helen Theodora, the wife of Paul Goodell, Jr. Mrs. Eckle died May 6, 1924 Married (2) July 11, 1931, in Stratford, Susan Isabel Reid Curtis, daughter of Thomas Davidson and Susan (Johnson) Reid. Death due to cerebral hemorrhage. Buried in Union Cemetery, Stratford Survived by wife, children, three grandchildren, two stepsons, Lieut. William H. Curtis, U.S.N.R., and Leeman R. Curtis, A.U S, a sister, Mrs Harold Wells of Upper Darby, Pa, two brothers, George August Eckle of New Haven and John N. Eckle, *io S., and a stepbrother, Frederick Hugendubehof West Haven, Conn. Thomas William Willis, Ph.B. 1906. Born September 19, 1884, in Ansonia, Conn. Died May 13, 1945, in Stratford, Conn. Father, Joseph William Wdhs, proprietor of greenhouses in Ansonia; son of William and Ellen (Curtis) Willis of Waterbury and Ansonia, Conn Mother, Sarah (Redshaw) Willis; daughter of Thomas M. and Penninah (Goodall) Redshaw of Ansonia. New Haven (Conn ) High School Mechanical engineering course. Associated with Riter-Conley Manufacturing Company, Pittsburgh, and draftsman in engineering department American Brass Company 1906,
