Death due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus. Survived by wife, sons, and mother. John Joseph Sullivan, B.S. 1930. Born December 15, 1900, tn Erie, Pa. Died April 27, 1945, in Erie, Pa. Father, Patrick John Sulhvan, traffic manager Burke Electric Company, Erie; son of Cornelius and Hannorah Sulhvan of Erie. Mother, Mary Josephine (Grant) Sulhvan, daughter of John and Ann (Ryan) Grant of Erie. Central High School, Erie. General science course; Freshman Football and Track squads, member Vernon Hall and Phi Gamma Delta. Associated with Hammermill Paper Company, Erie, 1930-45 (laboratory clerk 1930-31, auditing clerk 1931-33, in finishing room office 1933- 34, superintendent storage and shipping department 1934, and manager planning department 1934-45); member St. Peter's Cathedral (Roman Catholic), Erie Married July 14, 1934, in Erie, Dorothy Matilda, daughter of Joseph Peter and Amelia Kathenne (Birkenmeyer) Jerge. Born January 23, 191 o, in Atlantic City, N.J. Died March 29, 1945, in East Stroudsburg, Pa. Father, Harry Leeds Shinnen, owner and manager Onawa Lodge, Mountainhome, Pa , son of Joseph J and Margaret C. (Davis) Shinnen of Atlantic City. Mother, Emma (Irwin) Shinnen, daughter of John Agnew and Margaret (Fawkes) Irwin of Cochranvdle, Pa. Adantic City High School and Blair Academy, Blairstown, N J. Electrical engineering course, scholar of the second rank Freshman year; Freshman Football Squad, Freshman Track Team; University Track Team three years, Class football squad Sophomore and Junior years; member student branch American Institute of Electrical Engineers and The Colony and Berzehus.
