Harvard 1897, Harvard Law School 1897-98) of Freehold, N.J, and Thomas Montgomery Gregory (B A. Harvard 1910) of Atlantic City, NJ. Alban Bernard Hyde, B.D. 1901. Born June 20, 1868, in Banbury, England. Died May 16, 1944, in Lewiston, Maine. Father, William Hyde, a carpenter in Banbury, son of William and Mary (Huntington) Hyde of Ickford, Buckingham County, England. Mother, Emma (Tipping) Hyde, daughter of Joseph and Susannah (Brooks) Tipping of Worminghall, Oxford County, England Nichols Latin School, Lewiston; B.A. Bates College 1899; attended Yale Divinity School 1899-1901 (B D 1901), ordained in Free Baptist Church, Chepachet, R I, November 15, 1901, and minister there 1901- 04, minister Danville, N.H., 1904-06, Buffalo, NY., 1906-11, Bangor, Maine, 1911-16, Sabattus 1916-20, Peru, N.Y., 1920-24, Sixth Street Congregational Church, Auburn, Maine, 1924-39, and Minot Center Congregational Church 1925-43 Married June 26, 1901, in Auburn, Edith Belle Marrow (B A Bates Coll 1899), daughter of Samuel Harden and Emma Jane (Mower) Marrow. Children Donald Marrow, Emma Mower (died March 12, 1905), Samuel Harden (B A Bates Coll 1928), and Edith Bertha (Bates Coll. 1932-33), the wife of Guy Howard Hutchins (M D. Bowdoin 1899). Death due to coronary embolus Buried in Herrick Cemetery, Lewiston.
