Campbell of Tulsa and Robert W. Campbell of Floral Park, N.Y. Charles Rollin Crossett, LL.B. 1909. Born October 17, 1883, in Portsmouth, NH. Died February 21, 1944, in Manchester, N H. Father, Rev. Charles Rollin Crossett, minister Bethel Advent Church, Manchester; son of Charles Rolhn and Mary (Colson) Crossett of Springfield, Mass. Mother, Fanny Sarah (Hubbard) Crossett; daughter of Wdham Henry Hubbard and Sarah Gertrude Perkins Hubbard Ashley of Spnngfield. Lowell (Mass.) High School; attended Yale School of Law 1906-09 (LLJ5. 1909); principal commercial department Maine Wesleyan Seminary and College, Kents Hill, 1909-10; head commercial department Wakefield (Mass.) High School 1910-12; sub-master Dedham (Mass.) High School 1912-13; associated with Alexander Hamilton Institute of New York City, in Boston, 1913-14; teacher in South Boston High School 1914-17, Hyde Park High School, Boston, 1917, and Goffs Falls (NH) High School 1919-20; director commercial work Manchester High School 1920-26; headmaster Franklin (N.H.) Senior High School 1926-27, associated with New England Mutual Insurance Company, Manchester, 1927-28; became New Hampshire manager W. B. Foshay Company in 1929; attended Officers Training Camp, Plattsburg, August-November, 1917; commissioned First Lieutenant, Infantry, November 27, 1917, assigned to 304th Infantry, Camp Devens; transferred as commanding officer Company A, Training Detachment, University of Florida, and assistant professor of military science and tactics June 10, 1918, discharged August 25,1919; entered service in World War II in June, 1942; promoted to rank of Major; retired in October, 1943; member Masonic order and First Baptist Church, Manchester. Married Bernice Hastings, daughter of Wallace and Caroline (Covert) Rice. Children: Charles Rollins; Carolyn Rice, the wife of Joseph Albert Harris; David Lloyd (died at Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941); Mary, the wife of Paul Herbert Wakeman; Paul Hubbard; Carleton Wallace (died on Okinawa May 21, 1945); Janet Irene; Robert Alan; and Edythe Mae. Mrs. Crossett died March 5, 1931. Death due to coronary occlusion. Buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester. Survived by four daughters, three sons, five grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. H. L. Whittier of Erie, Pa.
