Died October 21, 1945, in Wimbledon, Surrey, England Father, Benjamin Newton Comings (BLitt Dartmouth 1837, M D. 1842), a physician in New Britain, surgeon 13th Connecticut Volunteers in Civil War, son of Colonel Benjamin Comings and Althea (Wellman) Comings of Cornish, NH Mother, Betsey Maria (Righter) Comings; daughter of John Chester and Lockey Rachel (Stiles) Righter of Parsippany, N J Yale relatives include Rev Chester N Righter (B A 1846) (uncle), William S Righter, '75 S, and Addison A Righter, '8i S (cousins), Emerson Tuttle, '14, and Arthur F Tuttle, '15 (nephews) Consulting engmeer and patent expert in England 1875 until retirement 1922, head of William R Comings & Company, London, 1875-1922, managing director Hugh Stevenson & Sons, Ltd, 1897-1920; had taken out over two hundred industrial patents which covered many revolutionary developments, resided at "Wharnchffe," Wimbledon, member the Pilgrim Society, London Married February 6, 1883, in Chicago, Jeanme, daughter of Nelson and Charlotte Louise (Emerson) Tuttle and sister of Henry N Tuttle, '81 Son Henry Emerson (BA Trinity [Oxford] 1906) Mrs Comings died July 21, 1939 Death due to senile myocarditis Ashes interred in churchyard of St Mary's Parish Church, Wimbledon Survived by son and three grandchildren, one of whom is Henry Emerson Comings, Jr, Class of 1949 March E Mr Comings was the last surviving member of his Class FRAZIER DAVENPORT HEAD PH B 1874 Born October 21, 1853, in New Haven, Conn Died February 2,1946, in Washington, D C Father, John Frazier Head (B A 1840, MA 1843, MI} Harvard 1843), son of George E and Hannah (Cathn) Head. Henry Fay's School, Newport, RI, and private tutors Select course, editor Yale Record Junior year, Fencing Association Senior year, member St Anthony and Delta Psi. Attended Harvard Law School 1879-81 and Columbia University School of Law 1881-82 (LLB 1882), admitted to New York bar 1883 and District of Columbia bar 1893, lawyer in New York City 1883- 93 and Washington 1893 until retirement; traveled extensively in the United States and Europe, member Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States. Married Adele de Nemegyei No children Death due to arteriosclerosis Buried in Grove Street Cemetery, New Haven Survived by wife (died December 3, 1946).
