Beers, '31 S. Hillhouse High School, New Haven Second colloquy appointment Junior year, first colloquy appomtment Senior year. Associated with Russell Brothers, grocers, New Haven, 1893-94, attended Yale Law School 1894-96 (LLB 1896); admitted to the bar 1896, lawyer in New Haven 1896-1942; inactive 1942-46 because of ill- health, served on numerous Republican ward committees, associate member Legal Advisory Board, Local Draft Board, Division 4, 1917-18; on fifty-year Class reunion committee, member New Haven and Amencan Bar associations, New Haven Chamber of Commerce, and First Methodist Church, New Haven Married July 8, 1922, in New Haven, Edna May, daughter of Henry and Ehzabeth Bouton (Pardee) Mead. Death due to carcinoma Buried in Springfield. Survived by wife, three daughters, seven grandchildren, and a sister, Miss Edith May Rice of Spnngfield.
