Death due to coronary thrombosis Buried in Stonington Cemetery Survived by wife, children, seven grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs Alfred Martin of Chicago and Marjone Streeter Hamill, the widow of Phihp W. Hamill, '98. Dr Streeter was considered one of the foremost medical historians in the United States and had collected volumes in this field since early in his career He was also greatly interested in weights and measures and their bearing on early medicine In 1938 he gave 1,500 volumes and pamphlets on the history of medicine to the Yale Medical Library, and in 1940 presented to the Library his unique collection of weights and measures, the most extensive collection of its kind in the world, which he continued to add to year by year At the same time he also presented a replica of an antique pharmacy with jars and other articles of value These collections have been named m honor of Dr, Streeter. H Chappell Company, coal dealers, New London, son of Franklin and Hannah Sage (Huntington) Chappell of New London Mother, Adelaide Estelle (Shepard) Chappell, daughter of George T and Lucretia (Turner) Shepard of New London. Yale relatives include Donald Chappell, *oo, Harold Chappell, '01 (cousins), T Huntington Chappell, '28 (nephew).
