With Pennsylvania Railroad Company 1906-16 (civil engineer in Wilmington, Del., 1906-12, in Philadelphia office of engineer of maintenance of way 1912-13, and assistant supermtendent Tyrone, Pa., 1913- 16); supervising engineer Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company, Chester, Pa., 1916- 39 and plant engineer 1939-47; taught English to foreigners at Y M.C.A night school, Wilmington, 1908-9; member Engineers Society of Delaware (secretary 1910) and Yale Engineering Association.
