Mother, Nellie (Osgood) Tyler; daughter of Dr. Charles Osgood and Sarah (Lamed) Osgood of Norwich. Mother, Lois (Rossiter) Foote; daughter of John Ruggles and Cleora Frances (Cruttenden) Rossiter Yale relatives include: Warham Williams (B A 1745) (great-great-great-grandfather), Stephen Williams (BA. 1741) and Nathan Williams (B.A. 1755) (great-great-great-great- uncles); John Rossiter, '82 (uncle), and Mary Sehna Foote (M A 1922) (sister) Guilford (Conn.) High School and Mt Hermon (Mass.) School Electrical engineering course; honors in electrical engineering and advanced Spanish and prize for excellence in the latter Junior year, two- year honors in electrical engineering Senior year.
