Mother, Mary Lenita (Cairns) Hayden; daughter of Robert William and Mary Lenna (Price) Hayden. Yale relatives include a brother, James H. Hayden, '87 S. St. Paul's School, Concord, N.H ; attended Trinity College [Conn ] 1889-91 (member Delta Psi); LL.B. Yale 1894 (member Kent Club); lawyer in Washington, D C, 1894 until retirement 1926 (member Hayden, McCammon, Hayden & Dal- zell); attended Plattsburg Training Camp 1916; commissioned Lieutenant (j g ), U.S. Naval Reserve, June 1917; overseas November 1917-December 1918; assistant to Chief of Staff, U S Naval Headquarters, London; released to inactive duty January 1919; vice- president Washington Rifle Association m World War I Unmarned Death due to coronary occlusion.
