Springfield (Ohio) High School; attended Wittenberg College in Class of 1898; LLB. Yale 1899 (substitute University Basketball Team); reporter New Haven Journal and Courier 1893-1904, salesman Springfield Rubber Tire Company 1899- 1905, established Todd Rubber Company 1906, president and treasurer 1906-32, distributor for Yale Tire & Rubber Company of New Haven; rubber conservation engineer and later sales representative in New England for Super Mold Corporation of California, manufacturers of retreading and vulcanizing equipment, 1932-47; treasurer MacKinney Rubber Company, Danbury, Conn, and Silver City Rubber Company, Meriden, Conn.; sergeant Company D, Second Company, Governors Foot Guard, member Masonic order and St. John's Church (Episcopal), New Haven. Married (1) June 2, 1913, Johanna Pauline Lawton Buchanan, daughter of John and Mary (Moore) Lawton. No children. Mrs. Todd died August 3, 1934. Married (2) May 22, 1937, in Rye, NY., Marie Celestyn, daughter of Lawrence Joseph and Mary Elizabeth (Reilly) Sheridan. Death due to acute coronary thrombosis with myocardial infarction Buried m Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. Survived by wife and a stepdaughter, Mrs Harold Markle.
