abstract of Put &ertriceg. [August] 21. Sunday. Read Prayers & preached at 1743 my own Ch. Anstis21 & Dr# Hazard84 dined with us. —y—- Young Jo: Whiple85 was at Ch. [August] 22nd- Monday. Mr. William Robinson & wife18 & his Son Will86 dined with us yl Day. I gave her 40sh* to give Robert.84 [August] 23. Tuesday. I immersed Mr. Thomas El- dred.87 His witnesses, Daniel Wier,27 Benjamin Mumford, Mrs. Cole, who, with Benjamin Mumford's wife, Mr. Stewart's36 maid, Sarah, old Tho8 Hazard88 and Tom Walmsley89 were present at the Baptism, all wch People and Mr. George Hazard's wife90 dined with us. In the afternoon Mrs. Updike and her Daughter came and staid all night. [August] 24. Wednesday. After Dinner Mrs. Updike, my wife, Miss Molly91 and Harry to wait on ym drove to Tower Hill, thence to Curtis's92 and got safe Home in a Shower at night. [August] 25. Thursday. I drove my wife and Mrs. Updike her Daughter to Esqr Willet's,31 where we dined and were well entertained. My twin Calves were sent there ys morning to wean. God being Good to us, we returned all home safe at night. [August] 26. Friday. After Dinner Mrs. Updike, her Son, Daughter and Jn° Updike93 took their leave and went Home. [August] 27. Saturday.! drove my wife to Mrs. Cole's where we dined. She sent Jack to open ye Gates and Bars. Got well Home. [August] 28. Sunday. Read prayers and preached and gave notice of yc Sacrament nxt Sunday. O Domine prepara nos. I catechized the negroes and white children. Young Jo: Wh:85 at church. [9]
