My wife complainedof the want of Manners in Kit [M.?] cArgil, who rode out of the way rather than let down Jn° Smith's Barrs; but Penelope Dyer, by laying a Pole across Jn° Smith's gate made it nee17 for him to get down. July 10th- Wednesday. I dreamed253 last night yt a Boat overset with me and was refused Help from ye Shore. Good Lord grant yl it may portend no Evil to me, especially yl it may not forebode the Refusal ofthe Salt water Interest254 I have been longing for. But as I went thro' water first, and did not feel my Feet wet or cold and waked floating, I hope there is no great evil final Consequence to be feared from it.
