[August] Sunday, 18th, we rode from Col. Updike's, called at Xtopher Phillips's,169 got to chh where I read Prayers preached, and got y* night to Warwick." the chh was full. [August] Monday, 19th. I read Prayers and preached at Mrs. Lippet's,77 visited twice at Jer:283 and once at Joseph Lippet's.328 [August] Tuesday, 20. got up early, set out, oated at Pierce's,348 reached Mr. Phillips's; and in ye Afternoon got Home, blessed be God. [August] Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Part of Saturday viz1 21, 22, 23, 24 I spent in transcribing my Sermon312 on Heb: 5. 4 for ye Press and perusing Authoritys, in ye Evening of Saturday wrote to Mr. Auchmuty329 of New York, and a Cover to Rich! Nichols Esqe Postmaster.330 Sunday, Aug* 2 5th-17 51, officiated at my own chh, wrote a Letter in ye Evening to Dr. Gardiner.51 Mo"4 dined here. Monday, Aug* 26th 1751, wrote to Mr. Wilkinson"9 & inclosed in it mine to Peleg Browne, wrote to Mr. Greaves301 inclosing tho'ts in answer to Jn° Wesley in favor of Lay Preaching. Tuesday Morning, Aug* 27th 1751. We opened a Barril of Flower yesterday, and the same Day Mary Chappel317 came to work upon my waistcoat and her Sister Bentley246 on a visit, when yy eat Watermellons sent by Isaac Fowler331 who sent for Honey and had it. Widow Shearman332 sent me some rare ripe Peaches [51]
