Wilkinson"9 one from Mr. Greaves,301 and another at 30s Postage,403 from New Londonderry404 in Pensilvania advising me, y* my only Bro' Archibald405 dyed last June, as did his wife the March before; Lord provide thou for his children, and if it might gsis* with thy wisdom, put me in a way to help them, if it can be done with Peace in my own House. O y* I were well settled in my own Country,406 and y* that poor man had never transported himself into these Parts, to ye Detriment, I doubt [not?] of his Family. But my dear and good God I submit myself and all y* concerns me to yy wise disposal, and work in me true Resignation, Submission to yy will and Contentment with my Lot; but above all, prepare me for a happy Departure out of ys Vale of Tears and Trouble. Tuesday, Novr 19th' 1751. Still Superfine weather, pd Mr. Mumford53 308 for ye L' 5s shillings for ye T and 15 towards a yard & half a la mode.407 Amos324 was here and Harry is carting wood. T^V ecemr 1 g^-Xmas, 17 51, Wednesday, a great Snow, J J thro' wch I wallowed to chh and to my great Comfort Capt. Sam1 Albro392 received ye Sacra*. He had heretofore in a great Sickness received clinick Com. but now I hope God will give him Grace to gtinue in ye Com of ye chh It snowed y8 Evening. Decemr 26th* Thursday. Snowed again. Jn° Gardiner408 on ye Hill had my oxen to sled wood, Jn° Janis was here and had a Cag of Cyder.409 [67]
