Abstract: In an elegant bedroom a young woman sits at her dressing table looking at her reflection in the mirror. At her side is a barber with combs in his apron gestures at her image which shows the elaborate high hair of the fashion. Embroidered curtains hang over her canopied bed; the room is decorated with wallpaper and a patterned rug, curtains on the window, and a sash behing the dressing table
