Abstract: In the center an auctioneer, hammer in hand, stands behind a podium having sold a pack of hounds with the human faces; Sheridan holds the hounds leashes. One dog sleeps on the floor as another urinates on its bone. On the left, a grey horse neighs as it is lead to the auctioneer. A clerk taking notes at a small desk to the left of the podium looks up at the auctioneer
