Suit of armor made for François I. The armour was purchased in 1771 by Horace Walpole for his collection at Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, from the estate of Louis-Antoine Crozat, Baron de Thiers. The armor was later sold to Samuel Pratt at the 1842 sale of the contents of Strawberry Hill, forty-five years after Walpole's death. The print depicts the armour as seen from the front as well as a detail of the side of the helmet and the back plate
