"A court scene. In the foreground is an oval table round which Counsel are seated. One stands, leaning forward and shouting at a trembling witness who stands chapeau-bras beside the table. Two judges are seated on the left under a Gothic canopy. The jury are in a box stretching across the court, and in front of three Gothic windows.
