"A narrow lane with high steep banks is blocked by a haycart (right); a man lies on his back on the hay, asleep. A well-dressed man on a spirited horse rides just behind the cart, clenching his fists with impatience. Behind him (left) rides his groom; two dogs run beside the horses.
