A man and a frantic woman rise from the table in alarm: a corner of the cloth is pulled through the button-hole of the former, and everything on the table cascades to the ground, including a tureen of soup. A third man registers alarm. A dishevelled servant (right) drops a glass of wine from his salver. On the wall is a large 'Plan of the Vicarage', showing the 'Great Tythes'.
