Abstract: Drawing of an inside wall of St. Albans Cathedral that includes a detailed depiction of an arched double door and the outline of a window above it. A horizontal row of trefoils separates the door from the window; an alcove with an empty pedestal is seen on either side of the door. The ornate doors are decorated with Gothic tracery. A scale bar in feet runs along the bottom of the image
Description: Title and statement of responsibility written in brown ink below image, in Horace Walpole's hand.
Horace Walpole used the door depicted in this drawing as a model for the doors in the Gallery at Strawberry Hill.
