The former industrious appretice Francis Goodchild is now Lord Mayor. The scene is Cheapside where we see the Lord-Mayor's carriage surrounded by a mob and with spectators in stands and at every window. The spectators in the stands include the Prince and Princess of Wales. Both sides of the frame are decorated with cornucopias

"Plate 12"--Below frame, centered.
Caption in decoration in lower edge of frame: Proverbs Chap III. Ver: 16. Length of days is in her right hand and in her left hand riches and hounour.
Sheet trimmed within plate mark to: 27 x 40.2 cm.
Formerly on page 142 in volume 2. Removed in 2012 by LWL conservator. - Provenance
- George Steevens bequeathed this collection to William Windham (1750-1810). At Windham's death, the collection was put up for sale on 20 July 1810 and was bought in by Mrs. Windham at 292 guineas; by descent through the Windham family; Sotheby's, 17 February 1919 to Dyson Perrins for £400; Sotheby's sale including Property of the Late C.W. Dyson Perrins, Esq., 11 June 1959, lot 100 purchased by Maggs Bros. for W.S. Lewis for £1300.
