The engravings primarily satirize social subjects, while the newspaper clippings include brief biographies of nobility; a survey of the mail in South America; a poem by George Tucker of Virginia; a chart portraying the expenditure on in "all the Christian world"; and several clippings on the votes of Parliamentary members in Ireland and England on whether to let Catholics sit in Parliament.
