MoynihanBeneath an arch supported by two pillars there is a shield featuring a flowered and leafed field divided by an argent chevron, with three argent stars above and a rose beneath. At the helm is a knight's helmet gardant; at the crest, upon a torse, is an armored right-handed arm grasping a lance with a flag at the end. From the crest downward, the entire design is backed by large and elaborate leafing. Behind the crest is a long, flowing banner with the motto Spiandact Tapeir Neill. Also viewed in both the upper left- and right-hand corners of the plate is a coiled snake.still image
