Inlaid on page 4a in Thomas Kirgate's extra-illustrated copy of: Walpole, H. A description of the villa of Mr. Horace Walpole ... Strawberry Hill : Printed by Thomas Kirgate, MDCCLXXXIV [1784].
Provenance: Probably from Thomas Kirgate's library, with his (as well as Horace Walpole's) manuscript notes in the volume. Sold at Sotheby's, 12 June 1933 (Miscellaneous Sale), lot 365, to Maggs. Sold by Maggs to W.S. Lewis, August 1933.
