The bulk of the collection was acquired through purchases and gifts from Edmund Wilson, 1944-1968, and Elena Wilson, 1972-1979; purchases from Helen Miranda Wilson on the Eugene G. O'Neill Memorial Fund and the Ezra Pound Archive Fund, 1995-1997; and a gift of Helen Miranda Wilson, 2000.
