Abstract: Manuscript journal, unsigned, of Laura Angeline Munson Keller documenting sea voyage from Boston, Massachusetts, to Port Townsend, Washington, 1858 September 25-1859 March 28. Includes account of life aboard the Toando schooner with emphasis on daily activities, homesickness, and passenger illnesses. There are also entries documenting Keller's time in Victoria, British Columbia, and Port Gamble, Washington, 1859 April 1-June 5, as well as one later entry, 1860 March 25.
Description: Laura Angeline Munson Keller (1837-1877) of Whiting, Washington, was married to Captain Albert W. Keller (1832-1914). She, along with her husband's family, traveled from Boston, Massachusetts, to Port Townsend, Washington, aboard the Toando, 1858 September 25-1859 March 30.
