Title from inscription in artist's hand. Date supplied by curator. Drawing is by an anonymous British 19th century artist, from a letter addressed to Mrs. S.S. Stevens. Inscription continues: Dr. Thomas Jowl. Fellow of the Royal Col. of Physicians, late of Corpus.-Cantab: &c, &c, &c.-- A gentleman popularly proficient in appreciating the multifarious conditions of disease, and in correctly estimating medical evidences, which are far too complex and voluminous for the capacity of the common herd of Pracitioners.-- This electronic record is derived from historic data and may not reflect our current information.
