Description: Autograph letter, signed, of 28 June 1880 to Thomas Atkinson. Collins refers to an autobiographical sketch published in "the volume called men in This Time." The manuscript in question was owned by Richard Gimbel; see entry H1239. Collins also writes that "The Lighthouse is not published. As long as I kept this play in a manuscript, I keep it out of the reach of theatrical thieves.
