New Assembly-Rooms, November 9, 1774. The proprietors of these room, at a general meeting, having taken into consideration the resolutions passed at the Town-Hall on the 20th of October last, and since delivered to them by Mr. Wade, think it necessary to declare in this public manner : that however desirous they may be of preserving peace, and preventing any future disturbances to interrupt the amusements of this place, they cannot so far forget their own rights, as to submit their property to the management of any persons, though ever so respectable in dignity or fortune
