Bound in Horace Walpole's copy of Analysis of beauty along with State 3 of Plate 1. Also with the subscription ticket "Columbus breaking the egg", first state, trimmed to the image, mounted on the verso of the t.p. - Provenance
- Original mottled calf, with Horace Walpole's bookplate (BP¹) on title page; also with his pressmark B.3.28, altered to V.24 on front pastedown. Sold at the 1842 Strawberry Hill Sale, vii.148, to R. D'A. Newton, Esq. [London, 1331]; T. Thorp, March 1929, to R.W. Chapman, £2.2.0. Given to W.S. Lewis by Dr. Chapman.
